Interpretation of the core content of the standard

GB/T39404-2020 is my country's first national information security standard specifically for industrial robot control units. It has built a complete security framework from three dimensions: physical security, communication security, and system protection.

In the automobile welding robot system, the standard requires:

  1. Two-way authentication is required between the teach pendant and the controller
  2. Motion control command transmission must use AES-256 encryption
  3. System logs should retain at least 90 days of audit records

Implementation suggestions

Enterprises should implement in stages:

  • Design stage: Establish a communication integrity protection mechanism in accordance with clause 6.3.2 of the standard
  • Production stage: Solidify the equipment identity according to the requirements of 6.5.1
  • Operation and maintenance stage: Implement a central audit system in accordance with 6.3.1

  • For the first time, the safety boundary of the control unit (CU) is clarified
