Taking a smart construction project as an example, its earned value management implementation presents typical characteristics:

WBS decomposition: Establish 5-level work packages according to construction sections (Clause 5.2)
Performance baseline: Allocate a budget of 320 million to 127 control accounts (Clause 5.7)
Measurement cycle: Use monthly EV report (Clause 5.9)

By calculating CPI=0.92 and SPI=0.88 (Appendix A), the project team promptly initiated resource allocation measures (Clause 5.10).
