Key technical principles

Using 258nm UV detection wavelength, based on the characteristic absorption of the benzene ring conjugated structure of mangiferin. The mobile phase uses acetonitrile-0.1% formic acid aqueous solution (15:85) system to effectively improve the peak tailing phenomenon.

Actual application case

A testing agency used this method to analyze mango leaves from Hainan production area, and measured the mangiferin content to be 12.45mg/g±0.87mg/g, RSD=2.3%, significantly better than the 15% deviation of traditional spectrophotometry.


Analysis of Standard Evolution

Compared with the 2005 version of the industry standard, this document has the following major improvements: detection limit reduced by 60%, new requirements for PTFE membrane filtration, and clear storage conditions at -18℃ away from light. This reflects the trend of improved sensitivity of HPLC detection technology and standardized sample pretreatment.
