General technical requirements for glazing materials used in power-driven vehicles
1 Scope
This document specifies terms and definitions, classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, transportation and storage of glazing materials used in power-driven vehicles.
This document is applicable to glazing materials used in power-driven vehicles, including M-class, N-class, O-class, L-class vehicles with driver's cab, agricultural and forestry vehicles.
This document is not applicable to glazing materials used for the lighting and signaling devices and instrument panels of power-driven vehicle.
Note: The classification of L-class, M-class, N-class, and O-class vehicles is specified in GB/T 15089.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB 9656-2021 and QC/T 1119-2019 and the following apply.

power-driven vehicle
wheeled vehicle, driven or towed by a power plant, used for personnel riding or transporting goods and conducting specialized engineering operations on the road

safety glazing material
transparent materials made of inorganic and/or organic materials processed or compounded for use in vehicles, which can effectively reduce the possibility of personal injury and has certain visibility, strength, and durability

glazing materials used in power-driven vehicles
safety glazing material installed in power-driven vehicles to provide observation, lighting, compartment separation, or other functions for drivers and passengers

tempered safety glass
safety glazing material made of single-layer glass that undergoes special heat treatment to increase its mechanical strength and control its fragmented state after breakage

glass-plastic safety glazing material
composed of one or more layers of inorganic materials and one or more layers of organic materials, and after installation, its side facing passengers is made of organic material

4 Classification
4.1 The glazing materials used in power-driven vehicles are classified into laminated safety glass, tempered safety glass, insulating safety glazing unit, glass-plastic safety glazing material, rigid plastic glazing pane, insulating rigid plastic glazing panes unit, and safety glazing faced with plastic material according to production and processing technology and/or materials.
4.2 The glazing materials used in power-driven vehicles are classified into windscreen and glass panes other than windsereen according to the application position.
4.3 The glazing materials used in power-driven vehicles are classified into Class I and Class II based on dimensional deviation, curvature tolerance, overlap, appearance quality, and edge quality.
4.4 The glazing materials used in power-driven vehicles are classified into flat glazing materials and curved glazing materials used in power-driven vehicles according to shape. The curved glazing materials used in power-driven vehicles are classified into single curved glazing materials and composite curved glazing materials.
