Introduction

1. Standard Overview

GB/T 44327-2024 "Zirconium and Zirconium Alloy Welded Pipes" national standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, etc. of zirconium and zirconium alloy welded pipes, and is applicable to general industrial zirconium and zirconium alloy welded pipes.

3. Interpretation of technical requirements

Chemical composition and tensile properties

The chemical composition of zirconium and zirconium alloys must comply with the requirements of GB/T 26314, and the room temperature tensile properties must be tested according to GB/T 228.1. 200~305 ≥20 Zr﹘3 ≥380 ≥205 Zr﹘4 ≥500 ≥200 ≥500 Zr﹘5 ≥500 ≥200 ≥500 ≥16 Zr﹘5 ≥550 ≥380 ≥16

4. Implementation Suggestions

To ensure the quality of zirconium and zirconium alloy welded pipes, it is recommended that:

  • Chemical composition and mechanical properties should be tested in strict accordance with the standards.
  • Select appropriate non-destructive testing methods (ultrasonic, eddy current, etc.).
  • Focus on welding process optimization to ensure joint quality.
  • When used in high temperature or corrosive environments, high alloy grades are preferred.
