Introduction
1. Overview of the Standard
| Lightning Activity Zones | Rolling Ball Radius (m) | Impulse Ground Resistance (Ω) |
|---|---|---|
| Strong Lightning Zone | 45 | ≤20 |
| Multiple Lightning Zone | 60 | ≤20 |
| Medium Lightning Zone | 100 | ≤30 |
| Less minefields | 100 | ≤30 |
2. Lightning monitoring and early warning
The use of lightning monitoring equipment is an important part of the lightning protection system of scenic spots. For example, scenic spots located in many minefields and strong minefields should be equipped with lightning detectors and atmospheric field strength meters, which can monitor lightning activities in real time and provide data support for the early warning system.
Case analysis: A scenic spot in a medium minefield successfully reduced the incidence of lightning accidents by installing a lightning approaching early warning system. The system uses weather radar, meteorological satellites and numerical weather forecast products, combined with regional identification and extrapolation algorithms, to achieve accurate predictions of lightning activities.
3. Lightning protection measures
In scenic areas, the installation of external lightning protection devices is crucial. For example, emergency lightning protection pavilions should be set up on both sides of the viewing platform and the trail, and their rolling ball radius and impulse grounding resistance must meet the requirements of GB 50057-2010. For tall metal objects such as flagpoles and masts, short-circuit lightning rods should be installed, and flexible down conductors should be laid along the trunks for grounding.
4. Implementation suggestions
To ensure the effective implementation of the standard, the scenic area management agency should:
- Establish an emergency linkage mechanism with the local meteorological department and formulate an emergency plan for lightning disasters.
- Carry out lightning protection safety inspection and maintenance regularly, focusing on the integrity of lightning arresters, down conductors and grounding devices.
- Strengthen safety education for tourists, set up clear lightning protection safety signs, and provide automatic lighting function when open at night.
