Introduction

Technical background and significance of the standard

With the growing demand for functional textiles, catechin-modified fibers are widely used due to their antibacterial and antioxidant properties. This standard establishes for the first time a method system for the determination of five catechin monomers in fibers by high performance liquid chromatography, filling the gap in industry testing.


Core method principle

Methanol extraction-ultrasonic assisted extraction technology is used, separated by Polar Advantage II chromatographic column (4.6mm×250mm×5μm), and quantified by external standard method. The key steps include:
