《GB/T 456-2002纸和纸板平滑度的测定（别克法）》由TC141（全国造纸工业标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国轻工业联合会。
本标准规定了用别克平滑度仪纸和纸板平滑度的试验方法。本标准适用于纸和纸板平滑度的测定，其测定范围很广，尤其适用于较为平滑的纸和纸板。但对于非常平滑的样品，其测定时间很长，会带来不准确的结果。本标准不适用于测定厚度大于0.5mm或透气度很大的纸和纸板，因为大量的空气通过测试表面会影响测试结果。本标准不适用于粗糙的纸和纸板平滑度的测定。

Scope

This standard specifies the test method for determining the smoothness of paper and paperboard by Buick smoothness meter. This standard applies to the determination of the smoothness of paper and cardboard, and its measurement range is very wide, especially for relatively smooth paper and cardboard. But for very smooth samples, the measurement time is very long, which will bring inaccurate results. This standard is not applicable to the determination of paper and paperboard with a thickness greater than 0.5 mm or a large air permeability, because a large amount of air passing through the test surface will affect the test results. This standard does not apply to the determination of roughness of paper and board smoothness.
