《GB/T 462-2008纸、纸板和纸浆 分析试样水分的测定》由TC141（全国造纸工业标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国轻工业联合会。
本标准修改采用了ISO 287:1985《纸和纸板 水分的测定 烘干法》和ISO 638:1978《纸浆 绝干物含量的测定》。
本标准是对GB/T 462-2003《纸和纸板水分的测定》、GB/T 741-2003《纸浆分析试样水分的测定》的整合修订。本标准同时代替GB/T 462-2003和GB/T 741-2003。
本标准规定了取样后测定纸、纸板和纸浆水分含量的方法。本标准适用于各种纸、纸板和纸浆，但这些纸、纸板和纸浆不应含有除水分以外，在规定的试验温度下能挥发的任何物质。
本方法不适用于液体浆水分的测定，或成批浆包销售质量的测定。
本标准与GB/T 462-2003和GB/T 741-2003相比，主要变化如下：
――修改了范围，标准使用范围为分析试样水分的测定；
――增加了第3章“术语和定义”内容，加入了恒重的术语和定义；
――修改了取样。
Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the moisture content of paper, board and pulp after sampling. This standard applies to all kinds of paper, board and pulp, but these paper, board and pulp should not contain any substances other than moisture that can be volatilized at the specified test temperature. This method is not applicable to the determination of the moisture content of liquid pulp, or the determination of the sales quality of batches of pulp bales.
