Scope

This document describes the principle, reagents and materials, instrumentation, sample preparation and experimental procedures, data processing, recovery, precision, and test reporting for the determination of hexamethylenetetramine in cosmetics by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. This document is applicable to the determination of hexamethylenetetramine in cosmetic lotions, creams, and emulsions. The detection limit of this method is 0.10 mg/kg, and the limit of quantification is 0.20 mg/kg.
