Scope
This document specifies the age-friendly technical requirements for household and similar appliances and describes the corresponding test methods. This document applies to the age-friendly design, testing, and evaluation of household and similar appliances (hereinafter referred to as "household appliances"). Note: The elderly people referred to in this document are those who are capable of independent living but experience certain obstacles in using household appliances that meet conventional technical requirements due to aging. Some elderly people may lose the ability to use household appliances due to physical disabilities or mental disorders, and their needs may exceed the scope of this document.
