Scope

This standard is formulated in order to correctly reflect the actual force situation of wooden structures in the test of wooden structures, to compare and refer to the test data of different test institutions, and to provide a unified test method to be followed by the testers. This standard is applicable to static tests of load-bearing wooden structures and members and their connections in houses and general structures under short-term loads. For wood treated with protective agents in wooden structures, when it is necessary to determine the penetration and retention of chemical agents, the provisions in Appendix E should be followed.
