Introduction
GB/T 5170.13—2018 Standard Overview
GB/T 5170.13—2018 "Environmental test equipment test methods Part 13: Mechanical vibration system for vibration (sinusoidal) test" is one of the important standards in the field of environmental test equipment for electrical and electronic products. This standard specifies the characteristics, measuring instruments, measurement uncertainty, test conditions, test methods, etc. of mechanical vibration systems for vibration (sinusoidal) tests, and is applicable to the inspection of vibration systems for vibration tests specified in GB/T 2423.10 and the inspection of similar test equipment.
Comparative analysis of standard frameworks
| Standard version | Main technical changes |
|---|---|
| GB/T 5170.13—2005 | Mainly stipulates the basic parameter inspection method of mechanical vibration table for vibration test. |
| GB/T 5170.13—2018 | Added the "Measurement Uncertainty" chapter, adjusted some technical requirements, such as the calculation formulas for frequency tolerance and lateral vibration ratio, and deleted some repeated contents in the original standard. |
Explanation of professional terms and practical applications
Lateral vibration ratio refers to the maximum ratio of the acceleration (velocity, displacement) of the vibration table in the direction perpendicular to the working axis to the acceleration in the direction of the working axis. For example, in some cases, the lateral motion amplitude of a small sample vibration test is allowed to be no more than 25%.
Distortion is a measure of the degree of undesirable changes in the waveform, usually quantitatively expressed by harmonic distortion. For example, measure the fundamental wave and at least five harmonics in a dynamic signal analyzer, and calculate whether their distortion meets the standard requirements (≤25%).
Implementation Recommendations
- When selecting vibration test equipment, ensure that the equipment meets the technical requirements of GB/T 5170.13-2018, including indicators such as frequency tolerance, lateral vibration ratio and distortion.
- Regularly calibrate measuring instruments (such as accelerometers, displacement meters, etc.) to ensure that their expanded uncertainty meets the standard requirements (for example, acceleration is better than 3% k=2).
- During the inspection process, strictly operate in accordance with the specified environmental conditions, including temperature (15°C~35°C), humidity (≤80%) and power supply voltage fluctuation range (±10% rated value).
- For newly installed or repaired equipment, it should be inspected immediately to ensure that its performance meets the standard requirements.
