Interpretation of the National Standard of the People's Republic of China GB/T5170.22—2024
This standard specifies the inspection items, conditions and methods for reverberation field test equipment used in acoustic vibration tests, and is applicable to the inspection of equipment used in GB/T2423.47.
Explanation of key terms
- Reverberation Time: The time required for sound to decay to one millionth of its original value in a reverberation chamber, marked as T20 or T30.
- Minimum Usable Frequency: The lowest 1/3 octave center frequency that ensures at least 7 sound modes.
- Space Variation: The variation in sound pressure level at different locations in the reverberation field, usually expressed as standard deviation.
