GB/T5195.7-2016 Standard Overview

This part of the standard specifies the method for determining the zinc content in fluorite using atomic absorption spectrometry, which is applicable to the detection of zinc content in the range of 0.020% to 1.0% by mass. This method decomposes the sample by mixed acid solution and measures the absorbance of zinc at a wavelength of 213.9 nm using an air-acetylene flame.

Technical Points Interpretation

Reagents and Instrument Requirements

The standard clearly requires the use of analytically pure reagents and puts forward strict requirements on the quality level of water (secondary water and above). The main reagents include hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid and perchloric acid, which must be prepared in strict proportion. In terms of instruments, the atomic absorption spectrometer must have an air-acetylene burner and be equipped with a zinc hollow cathode lamp.

Sample Preparation and Analysis Steps

The sample must be dried and finely ground to a particle size of less than 63μm before analysis. The sample is weighed in an amount of 0.20g±0.1mg. After decomposition by the mixed acid solution, it is transferred to a volumetric flask to make up the volume. The calibration curve uses a six-point correction method to ensure that the linear relationship meets the standard requirements.

Precision and Result Processing

According to the standard requirements, the precision of the determination of zinc content is determined by 7 laboratories jointly measuring 5 horizontal samples. When calculating the repeatability limit and reproducibility limit, it is necessary to note that the average of the two measured values is used as the basis, and the prerequisite of not more than 5% is met.
