《GB/T 521-2003轮胎外缘尺寸测量方法》由TC19（全国轮胎轮辋标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国石油和化学工业联合会。
本标准规定了轮胎(外胎、内胎和垫带)外缘尺寸的测量工具及其精度要求、测量条件、测量方法、数据计算与处理以及试验报告。本标准适用于所有新的轿车轮胎、载重汽车轮胎、农业轮胎、工程机械轮胎、工业车辆充气轮胎和摩托车轮胎。

Scope

This standard specifies the measurement tools and accuracy requirements, measurement conditions, measurement methods, data calculation and processing, and test reports for the outer edge dimensions of tires (tyres, inner tubes and pads). This standard applies to all new passenger car tires, truck tires, agricultural tires, off-the-road tires, industrial vehicle pneumatic tires and motorcycle tires.
