《GB/T 5539-2008粮油检验 油脂定性试验》由TC270（全国粮油标准化技术委员会）归口，TC270SC2（全国粮油标准化技术委员会油料及油脂分会）执行，主管部门为国家粮食和物资储备局。
本标准是对GB/T 5539-1985《植物油脂检验 油脂定性试验》的修订。
本标准自实施之日起代替GB/T 5539-1985。
本标准规定了植物油脂定性试验的术语和定义、仪器设备、试验步骤和结果判定方法。
本标准适用于桐油、蓖麻油、亚麻油、矿物油、大豆油、花生油、芝麻油、棉籽油、菜籽油、植物油中猪脂、油茶籽油、茶籽油、大麻籽油的定性或检出试验。
本标准与GB/T 5539-1985的主要差异如下：
――将标准名称改为“粮油检验 油脂定性试验”；
――增加了术语和定义；
――“桐油热聚合试验”改为“桐油纯度试验”；
――“β-桐油试验”改为“β-桐油的检出”；
――棉籽油的检出限由0.2%修改为0.3%；
――增加了矿物油检出的不适用范围，本法不适用于米糠原油和沙棘油；
――增加了大豆油检出的不适用范围，本法不适用于一、二级大豆油；
――增加菜籽油检出的不适用范围，本法不适用于低芥酸菜籽油的检出。

Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, instruments and equipment, test procedures and result judgment methods of vegetable oil qualitative test. This standard applies to the qualitative or detection of tung oil, castor oil, linseed oil, mineral oil, soybean oil, peanut oil, sesame oil, cottonseed oil, rapeseed oil, lard in vegetable oil, camellia oil, tea seed oil, hemp seed oil test.
