《GB/T 6931.2-1986V 带传动术语》由604-1（中国机械工业联合会）归口，主管部门为中国机械工业联合会。
本标准等效采用国际标准ISO 1081-1980《传动用V带和V带轮―术语》。本标准规定了适用于V带传动的V带和V带轮的术语、定义及符号。定义、阐述轮和带的尺寸、既可根据基准宽度制，也可根据有效宽度制，这两种制度并行。本标准中的通用名词及定义是普通适用的，与采用哪种制度来定义带轮无关。
