《GB/T 7024-2008电梯、自动扶梯、自动人行道术语》由TC196（全国电梯标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。
本标准代替GB/T 7024-1997《电梯、自动扶梯、自动人行道术语》。
本标准规定了电梯、自动扶梯、自动人行道术语。
本标准适用于制定标准、编制技术文件、编写和翻译专业手册、教材及书刊。
本标准与GB/T 7024-1997的主要差异有：
――对条款进行了部分修改，增加了伴随新技术产生出现的新名词和术语；
――为了便于下次修订，将第3章分类“一般术语”（3.1）和电梯功能术语（3.2）。

Scope

This standard specifies the terms of elevators, escalators and moving walks. This standard applies to the formulation of standards, preparation of technical documents, preparation and translation of professional manuals, teaching materials and books.
