Scope

This standard specifies the classification, naming, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of marine auxiliary anodes. This standard applies to the design, production and inspection of auxiliary anodes in impressed current cathodic protection systems for steel sea-going ships. Auxiliary anodes in impressed current cathodic protection systems for other steel structures in seawater may also refer to this standard.
