Scope
This standard specifies the method for the determination of the potassium hydroxide (KOH) value of concentrated natural rubber latex preserved in whole or in part with ammonia. This standard applies to latex containing boric acid. This standard does not apply to latex preserved with potassium hydroxide. This standard does not necessarily apply to natural latexes other than Hevea brasiliensis, nor does it apply to synthetic latexes, compounded latexes, vulcanized latexes, and aqueous rubber dispersions.
