Introduction
Core changes in the standard revision
| Revision dimensions | 2001 version | 2021 version |
|---|---|---|
| Scope of application | Limited to the delivery stage | Extended to the production stage |
| Definition of terms | 16 terms | Simplified to 8 core terms |
| Sample container | No explicit requirement | Required to be sealable |
Quality fluctuation classification system
Taking refined salt as an example, when the quality fluctuation standard deviation (Sw) is ≤0.15%, it is applicable to the "small" category. In actual production, it can be determined by the following steps:
- Continuously collect production data of 5 batches or more
- Calculate according to the formula Sw=√[∑(ti-t)²/(n-1)]
- Determine the classification by referring to Table 1
Key sampling technical specifications
1. Sampling of bagged edible salt
| Packing specifications | Sampling method | Sample size |
|---|---|---|
| ≤2000g | Directly take the whole bag | Determine the quantity according to Table 2 |
| >2000g | Insert the sampler in the middle of the bag | 200g per portion |
2. Sampling of industrial bromine jars
Use the cube root calculation method: number of samples = ³√total number of jars (round up), use a glass sampler to insert it into 2/3 of the depth of the jar, and each portion is 50mL.
Implementation recommendations
Corporate response strategies:
- Establish a quality fluctuation database and update the Sw value regularly
- Automatically apply "large" sampling to solar salt with a particle size of >4mm
- Iodized salt sampling must ensure coverage of 9 azimuth points
Technology evolution analysis
This revision reflects three major technological advances:
- Refine classification: Separate the fluctuation standards of industrial salt and edible salt
- Operation standardization: Clarify the coordinates of the sampling points for trucks/lorries (see Figures 1 and 2)
- Risk control: Increase the sealing requirements for spare samples
