《GB/T 8696-1988纱线断裂强力的试验方法绞纱法》由TC209（全国纺织品标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国纺织工业联合会。
本标准规定了以绞纱法测定纱线断裂强力的方法。本标准适用于任何纺纱系统纺制的各种短纤维纯纺或混纺的单纱和股线。本标准不推荐用于试验长丝纱、玻璃纤维纱及缆线或绳索等，以及当张力从0.5增加到1.0cN/tex时伸长大于5%的纱线。

Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the breaking strength of yarns by the skein method. This standard is applicable to all kinds of pure or blended single yarns and strands of staple fibers spun by any spinning system.
