《GB/T 8746-2009纺织品 燃烧性能 垂直方向试样易点燃性的测定》由TC209（全国纺织品标准化技术委员会）归口，TC209SC1（全国纺织品标准化技术委员会基础标准分会）执行，主管部门为中国纺织工业联合会。
本标准规定了纺织品垂直方向易点燃性的试验方法。
本标准适用于各类单层或多层（如涂层、绗缝、多层、夹层和类似组合）纺织织物及其产业用制品。
本标准适用于评定在实验室控制条件下，纺织织物与火焰接触时的性能。但可能不适用于空气供给不足的场合或在大火中受热时间过长的情况。

Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the flammability of textiles in the vertical direction. This standard applies to all kinds of single-layer or multi-layer (such as coating, quilting, multi-layer, interlayer and similar combinations) textile fabrics and their industrial products. This standard is applicable to assess the performance of textile fabrics in contact with flame under laboratory controlled conditions. However, it may not be suitable for use where the air supply is insufficient or where the heat is exposed for an extended period of time in a large fire. The effect of a seam on the burning behavior of a fabric may be determined by this method, with the seam placed on a specimen to withstand the test flame. Trims should be tested as part of fabric assemblies whenever practicable.
