Scope
This standard specifies the grading, naming rules, numbering rules, national road names and numbers, road technical grade codes, and road information identification and exchange requirements for road routes. This standard is applicable to the management, information processing and exchange of highways in industries such as transportation, public security, surveying and mapping, and land and resources management; it is also applicable to the marking of highway routes and road sections by public information carriers.
