Scope

This standard specifies the general method for determining the ash content of various plastics (resins and compounds) with suitable test conditions. As for the special test conditions of a certain plastic, it can be selected in the material specification of the plastic. Note: The special test conditions for plastics containing glass fiber reinforcement and (or) certain fillers will be described in detail in separate special national standards.
