本部分适用于印刷行业及其相关专业编写标准、出版、教学、科研及供国内外技术交流中使用。本部分与ＧＢ／Ｔ９８５１．２—１９９０和ＧＢ／Ｔ９８５１．３—１９９０两部分相比主要修改如下：
———将ＧＢ／Ｔ９８５１．２—１９９０《印刷技术术语　第２部分：文字排版术语》和ＧＢ／Ｔ９８５１．３—１９９０《印刷技术术语　第３部分：图像制版术语》两部分合并为印前术语。
———标准的结构形式按照ＧＢ／Ｔ１．１—２０００进行了修改。
———标准的词条根据技术的发展进行了删减与合并，并增加了部分新的词条。

This part of GB/T 9851 specifies prepress professional terms to ensure the correct application of professional concepts in production, teaching and academic activities.
