Scope

This standard specifies the methods for the determination of the breaking strength and elongation at break of a single fiber of chemical fibers, as well as the soaking strength, knotting strength and hooking strength. This standard applies to all kinds of chemical fibers, including crimped fibers, as long as the effective length of the fibers can meet the specified nominal gauge length requirements.
