With the annual output of vegetables in my country exceeding 700 million tons, about 30%-50% of waste is generated in the processing stage. GH/T 1460-2024 systematically regulates the full process technology of converting vegetable waste into feed through microbial fermentation for the first time, achieving a resource recycling rate of more than 40% while reducing methane emissions caused by traditional landfills.

The standard requires that the viable lactic acid bacteria count of the final product is ≥1×107 CFU/g. Actual cases show that:

  • When cabbage waste is fermented, Lactobacillus plantarum CICC 20261 is inoculated, and the viable count can reach 3.2×108 CFU/g in 72 hours
  • Tomato residue fermentation requires the addition of 2% molasses as a carbon source supplement, otherwise the viable count will drop by 40%

pH dynamic monitoring

Through class=instrument>Online pH monitor tracks the fermentation process in real time. When the pH value drops to the range of 3.5-4.5:
