Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for airborne computing system resources. The onboard computing system resources include all processors and systems from embedded microprocessors to special-purpose processors to large-scale computing processing systems, as well as related software development tools and facilities. This standard also specifies the requirements for hardware and/or software during procurement. This standard is applicable to the requirements for airborne computing system resources in the formulation of system specifications and main project development specifications. It is also applicable to the formulation of requirements for airborne computing system resources for independent application of finished products. Due to the different levels required when applying this standard, only the applicable content in this standard can be selected. Appendix A provides guidance for the application of this standard.
