Introduction
Background of Standard Revision and Technological Evolution
This standard replaces GB/T 14677-93. The main technical upgrades include:
| Revision dimensions | 1993 edition | 2010 edition |
|---|---|---|
| Detection components | 5 types | 8 types (newly added ethylbenzene, isopropylbenzene, etc.) |
| Standard solution matrix | Carbon disulfide | Methanol |
| Chromatographic technology | Packing column only | Added capillary column secondary desorption technology |
Core method principle
Sampling was performed at room temperature using Tenax adsorption tubes, and the benzene series were desorbed using a thermal desorber (250°C), followed by separation and detection using a gas chromatography-FID system. Critical control points:
- Aging of sampling tube: 350℃ nitrogen for 120 minutes
- Safe sampling volume: 6.2L benzene/38L toluene (at 20℃)
- Storage conditions: 4℃ light-proof and sealed for ≤30 days
Instrument configuration requirements
Typical equipment combination plan
| Thermal desorber | Temperature range 40-300℃, with secondary cold trap focusing |
| Gas chromatograph | FID detector, recommended capillary column: PEG-20M (30m×0.32mm×1.0μm) |
| Sampling device | Oil-free pump with flow range of 0.01-0.5L/min |
Key indicators of quality control
| Parameters | Requirements |
|---|---|
| Parallel sample deviation | <25% |
| Recovery rate of the second sampling tube | <20% |
| Intermediate concentration calibration | Relative error≤20% |
| Detection limit (capillary column) | Benzene: 5.0×10-4 mg/m3 |
Implementation suggestions
- Give priority to the capillary column solution to improve the separation of p-xylene/m-xylene
- Regularly verify the adsorption efficiency of the Tenax tube, and replace the adsorbent when the recovery rate of the second sampling tube is >15%
- For indoor air monitoring, it is recommended to control the sampling flow rate at 50-100ml/min
