Scope

This standard specifies a gas chromatographic method for the determination of turpentine in water. This standard is applicable to the determination of turpentine in surface water, groundwater, industrial wastewater and domestic sewage. When the sample volume is 100 ml, the detection limit of this standard method is 0.03 mg/L, and the lower determination limit is 0.12 mg/L.
