Interpretation of the core content of the standard

The HJ 764-2015 standard is aimed at the technical specifications of the Automatic online monitoring instrument for arsenic water quality, and for the first time established a unified technical framework for online monitoring of arsenic in my country. The standard divides the instrument into two categories: Type I (0.01-0.2mg/L) and Type II (0.2-1.0mg/L), which are suitable for different pollution scenarios.

Take Type I instrument as an example: The lower limit of quantification is 0.01mg/L, which requires the use of a high-sensitivity detector (such as atomic fluorescence); The memory effect is ≤10%, which requires a three-level flushing system; The minimum maintenance period is 168 hours, which corresponds to a reagent storage volume of ≥500mL.


Key points for the implementation of the detection method

  1. Indication error detection: NIST traceable standard materials are required
  2. Ion interference test: Pay special attention to the interference of Sb³⁺ at 0.1mg/L
  3. Actual water sample comparison: It is recommended to collect water samples with different matrices (surface water/electroplating wastewater)

Standard evolution analysis

Compared with the GB/T 7485 laboratory method, the innovation of HJ 764-2015 is reflected in: For the first time, the environmental adaptability indicators of online instruments are specified (working range of -40℃~50℃), a data validity evaluation system is established (≥90% efficiency), and a remote quality control function is introduced (in compliance with the HJ/T 212 protocol).

  • Selection recommendations: Drinking water sources should give priority to Type I instrument, equipped with a low-temperature preprocessor
  • Operation and maintenance points: UV lamp intensity should be tested every quarter, with annual drift ≤15%
