本标准规定了钢铁工业及炼焦化学工业排污单位自行监测的一般要求、监测方案制定、信息记录和报告的基本内容和要求。
本标准适用于钢铁工业及炼焦化学工业排污单位在生产运行阶段对其排放的水、气污染物，噪声以及对其周边环境质量影响开展监测。本标准不适用于钢铁生产企业中铁矿采选和铁合金生产工序的自行监测。
钢铁工业及炼焦化学工业排污单位自备火力发电机组（厂）、配套动力锅炉的自行监测要求按照HJ 820执行。

Scope

This standard puts forward the general requirements for self-monitoring of pollutant discharge units in the steel industry and coking chemical industry, the basic content and requirements for the development of monitoring plans, information recording and reporting. This standard is applicable to the monitoring of water and gas pollutants and noise emitted by pollutant discharge units in the steel industry and coking chemical industry during the production and operation stage, as well as the impact on the quality of the surrounding environment. This standard does not apply to self-monitoring of iron ore mining and ferroalloy production processes in steel production enterprises. The self-monitoring requirements for self-owned thermal power generating units (factories) and supporting power boilers of pollutant discharge units in the iron and steel industry and coking chemical industry shall be implemented in accordance with HJ820.
