Scope

This standard specifies a gas chromatographic method for the determination of polychlorinated biphenyls in soil and sediments. This standard is applicable to the determination of 7 indicator PCBs and 12 coplanar PCBs in soil and sediments. Other PCBs can also be measured using this standard if they pass verification. When the sampling amount is 10.0g, the method detection limit of PCBs is 0.03μg/kg~0.07μg/kg, and the lower limit of determination is 0.12μg/kg~0.28μg/kg. See Appendix A for details.
