Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, requirements, inspection methods, marking and packaging of portable gear pitch measuring instruments. This standard applies to portable gear pitch measuring instruments (hereinafter referred to as "tooth pitch meters") with a measured gear module of 2 mm to 16 mm.
