本标准规定了额定功率3 125 kVA（50 Hz和60 Hz）及以下船用三相同步发电机及其励磁装置的技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志和包装等内容。
本标准适用于由内燃机驱动，用作船舶及移动式和固定式近海装置电站的发电机及其励磁装置。
对由汽轮机驱动的发电机、轴带发电机和额定功率大于3 125 kVA的发电机，亦可参照采用本标准。

Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of marine three-phase synchronous generators (hereinafter referred to as generators) and their excitation devices with a rated power of 3 125 kVA (50 Hz and 60 Hz) and below. This standard applies to generators and their excitation devices driven by internal combustion engines and used as power stations on ships and mobile and fixed offshore installations. This standard may also be adopted by reference for generators driven by steam turbines, shaft generators and generators with a rated power greater than 3 125 kVA.
