Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for the design, manufacture and acceptance of gear hobbing machines. This standard applies to vertical gear hobbing machines with a maximum workpiece diameter of 125mm to 2000mm. Vertical gear hobbing machines of other specifications can be used as a reference.
