Analysis of the core content of the standard
The JR/T 0153-2022 standard replaces the 2017 version, adding new testing indicators such as light reflectance ratio and three-stimulus value, expanding the classification of RMB banknotes that are not suitable for circulation from 9 categories to 12 categories, and strengthening the protection requirements for anti-counterfeiting features.

Brightness detection standard
Using spectral photometry for detection, the brightness thresholds of different denominations are significantly different:
- 100 yuan banknote: 2005 version ≤83.39, 2015 version ≤83.54
- 10 cents banknote: 1980 version ≤78.04
Bending stiffness requirements
Using bending stiffness instrument for detection, the critical value of 100 yuan banknote is 0.05N, 5 cents/1 cents is 0.04N

- Financial institutions should upgrade their testing equipment to support the three-stimulus value measurement function
- Establish a digital comparison sample library by denomination and version
- Use light transmission detection technology for tape-adhesive banknotes
- Strengthen the softness detection of small-denomination banknotes
