Scope

This standard specifies the content and evaluation methods of ship oil spill emergency response capabilities. This standard is applicable to the assessment of the emergency response capabilities to prevent and control the environment in waters polluted by ships and their related operating activities, and the assessment of the emergency response capabilities of ports, terminals, loading and unloading stations and units engaged in ship repair, salvage and dismantling to prevent and control the environment in waters polluted by ships, and Assessment of oil spill response capabilities of professional oil spill response units such as ship pollution cleanup units.
