Detailed explanation of key technical requirements

Special attention should be paid to the definition of exposed sapwood: In the length direction or cross section, glulam must have two adjacent faces exposed to the air at the same time. This standard innovatively limits the proportion of ply heartwood area to less than 20% (when the depth is ≤50% of the end size).


Comparison of anticorrosion treatment processes

Take quaternary ammonium copper (ACQ) treatment as an example: C3.2 outdoor unprotected scene requires a drug loading of 4.0kg/m³, a sapwood penetration rate of 90%, and the following requirements:

  • Heartwood penetration ≥5mm when thickness ≤35mm
  • Heartwood penetration ≥8mm when thickness>35mm

Implementation suggestions

1. Raw material control: The moisture content difference of the laminate must be strictly controlled within 5%. It is recommended to use an infrared moisture meter for online detection

2. Inspection optimization: For C4.1 products, it is recommended to increase the drilling sampling density to 3 inspection points per cubic meter

3. Labeling management: The preservative type, usage classification and treatment date should be marked in accordance with the requirements of LY/T 1925
