Introduction

Background of Standard Revision and Technological Evolution

MH/T 4042-2023 is a comprehensive upgrade of the 2014 version of the standard. The main technical changes are reflected in:

Core function technical requirements

1. Monitoring service

The system needs to support at least 8 signal accesses such as SMR and ADS-B. The key indicators include:

  • Target positioning accuracy in maneuvering area ≤12m (95% confidence level)
  • Probability of track interruption <10-6 (>5 seconds)
  • Target reporting delay ≤0.5 seconds

2. Warning service

Add the concept of runway protection area (RPA), and the warning response time requirement is <0.5 seconds. The key points include:

Typical scenario: When the landing aircraft collides with the target in the RPA, the system needs to trigger a graded alarm based on the distance/time parameters from the runway threshold
