Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, product instructions, transportation and storage requirements for chlorine-free solvent-free paint strippers for epoxy and polyurethane paints (hereinafter referred to as paint strippers). This standard is applicable to the production of chlorine-free, phenol-free, and chromate-free thickened paint strippers for removing epoxy polyamide primer or polyurethane topcoat from aluminum alloy and magnesium alloy surfaces.
