Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for optical interference methane detectors. This standard applies to optical interference methane detectors (hereinafter referred to as instruments) for measuring methane concentration (V/V) in the air in coal mines and other workplaces.
