Key technological innovation

This standard integrates and replaces three old standards including MT/T 489-1995. The main upgraded contents are:

  • Durability test requirements are increased to 400 hours full load or 250 hours overload
  • New variable characteristic curve test requirements (Appendix B)
  • Cleanliness index is increased by 40%, and the maximum requirement for metering pumps is ≤210mg

Implementation suggestions

Selection considerations

When selecting a model based on the nominal displacement, the following should be considered:

  1. The inclined axis type is more suitable for high-pressure conditions (up to 40MPa)
  2. The efficiency of the variable pump is allowed to be 1 percentage point lower than that of the metering pump
  3. The inclined axis structure is preferred in noise-sensitive environments

Maintenance points

Check the oil contamination regularly according to the requirements of Table 6. Recommendations:

  • Replace the filter element every 500 hours
  • Control the oil temperature within the range of 30-60℃
  • If the machine is shut down for more than 72 hours, exhaust the machine before starting
