Scope
This document describes the method of measuring the color of petroleum products by tristimulus value method and converting the measurement results into the corresponding color numbers in GB/T3555 and GB/T6540 according to the corresponding operation rules. This document is applicable to the color measurement of petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel, naphtha, kerosene, white oil, fuel oil, lubricating oil without coloring agent, and also to the Saybolt color measurement of petroleum wax products. This document is not applicable to solid samples that have not been properly treated, and petroleum products containing coloring agents or strong fluorescence.
