Scope

This specification is formulated to standardize the design principles and contents of the protection of rare and endangered plants and ancient and famous trees in hydropower projects and to unify technical requirements. This specification is applicable to the protection design of rare and endangered plants and ancient and famous trees in hydropower projects. The protection design of rare and endangered plants and ancient and famous trees in hydropower projects should meet the overall requirements of regional ecological protection, follow the principles of adapting measures to local conditions, technical feasibility, and economic rationality, and coordinate with relevant plans to achieve the purpose of protecting biodiversity and the historical and cultural value of ancient and famous trees. The protection design documents of rare and endangered plants and ancient and famous trees in hydropower projects should be compiled separately, and special design reports and drawings should be submitted. The catalog of the protection design report of rare and endangered plants and ancient and famous trees in hydropower projects should comply with the provisions of Appendix A of this specification. In addition to complying with this specification, the protection design of rare and endangered plants and ancient and famous trees in hydropower projects should also comply with the provisions of the relevant current national standards.
