Scope

This part specifies the requirements for the manufacturing, chemical composition, mechanical properties, metallographic inspection, non-destructive testing, removal and repair of defective parts of non-alloy and alloy ductile iron castings for level 2 and 3 equipment in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. This section applies to QT350-22R, QT350-22AR non-alloy ductile iron castings and QTANi20Cr2 austenitic ductile iron castings for level 3 pressure pump casings of pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants, and QT350- for level 2 and 3 non-pressure pump casings. 22R, QT350-22AR non-alloy ductile iron castings and QT400-18R, QT400-18AR non-alloy ductile iron castings for the yoke of the control rod drive mechanis .
