Scope

This standard specifies the criteria for timely acquis tion, processing and storage of seis ic instrument recording data in nuclear power plants, including initial assessment criteria to determine whether the ground motion at the site exceeds the power plant operating baseline earthquake (0BE). This standard is applicable to land-based light water reactor nuclear power plants, and other types of nuclear power plants can also be used as a reference. This standard does not apply to the following procedures: a) Power plant inspection procedures that need to be carried out immediately after an earthquake (within 8 hours); b) Procedures for ensuring safe and orderly shutdown; c) Procedures for long-term evaluation of response data of structures and equipment ; Procedures for power plant re-operation.
