Scope

This standard provides guidance for assessing, monitoring and mitigating the aging and degradation effects of safety-level electrical equipment in nuclear power plants. This standard is applicable to the assessment, monitoring and mitigation of the aging of safety-level electrical equipment in nuclear power plants. The purpose of this standard is to supplement exis ing nuclear power industry standards for aging degradation impact assessment. This standard describes methods that can be used to qualify the performance of safety-rated electrical equipment beyond its qualification life.
